So I’ve been checking the official blog for Restaurant City, and it seems that the guys who are behind the scenes are working for something which is going to be very interesting for all of the players! The creators, designers, programmers and everyone who has been working on the game went on a trip to Europe. They will be visiting a number of countries in Europe and cities as well, to inspire the game with new (yep yep) with new items, quests, and much more.

The trip started off to Venice, in Italy.. which is a really beautiful city (a friend of mine went there on a vacation, she said it was amazing!). As we all know, Italy is well known for their Pizza, that magic recipe started from there, and then the rest of the world started copying them. So, the guys behind the scenes decided to add a Pizzeria Restaurant. Made of many recipes, starting from Pizzeria Vegetariana which you need to master before being able to hop to other menu items.

Their second stop was in Spain. Now, I know you all will be thinking of what would they add to the menu? Well, more Pizza recipes! Two new Pizzeria recipes were added since the guys arrived to Spain, which you can unlock just after you’re done with the first recipe on the menu – Pizzeria Vegetariana. Additionally, there are two new items that you can acquire, firstly it’s the all-new Melting Pocketwatch Stove, which is just like the original stove with a 22% speed boost (than normal stoves). In addition to that, there are three new figurines that you will absolutely love, Pedro the Catapult, Xabier, and Raquel the Swift. (I know I know, you just love the names, don’t you?).

The final stop was in Ireland, inspiring the game with some new themes and tokens as well, for the countries they have visited (Spain, Italy and Ireland). This is indeed very cool for all of you who have been waiting for something like that. But that’s not all, new challenges are also added (themed after the countries) . The new tokens are named Serrano Ham Display and a very cool Irish Stew Stove which is 7% faster. Another Irish item that was added is the Irish Lounge Bar, which will be available in shops this Saturday.

Now, we don’t know where this trip is going to stop at, but so far so good, it looks like the game designers are up to doing some REALLY interesting updates to our all loved games, Restaurant City!

Ghouls will appear outside of your friends restaurant and on the streets as well. You will be able to find Ghouls in gourmet street as well, which will be very rare and of course, you will earn rewards when you collect enough Ghoul zapping points to collect each item. The rewards will be changing daily, so you need to make sure that you login to the game every day to collect your prizes.

As your friends level up and collect prizes, you’ll also get a free gift as a bonus. You also should share the fun with your friends when receive new prizes, by publishing the free gift to your wall.

On the right hand side of your screen you’ll find your Ghoul Meter. The meter fills up every time you click on one of these Ghouls around Restaurant City. Once your Ghoul Meter fills up, you’ll be able to claim your prize.

If you click on the pumpkin at the top of the Ghoul Meter, it will let you know how many points you currently have and how much time till the next set of prizes are reset for the day. You can also click on the question mark to find out more information about your Ghoul points and hints on earning more of them.

Each day you can grab up to 3 prizes, a bronze, silver and gold one. Once you’ve successfully collected all of them, you’ll have to wait till the next day till you’re able to collect more prizes.

The default music that you get with the stock player is the original background music. There are many different tracks that are available for purchase, such as:

• Classic Treasures
• My Irish Heart
• Oriental Strings
• The Fiesta Brothers

Each of these tracks costs 4,000 coins. So, if you’re tired of hearing the same music while playing the game, or would like your visitors to hear a different style of music, you can select which soundtrack you would like to hear.

What do you need?

• Flash Player 9.
• Cheat Engine 5.5 (You can download it from our Restaurant City Tools page).
• FireFox (recommended).

Instructions:

• Open up your game in the browser.
• Wait till a customer starts eating something, so you get 1 or more Gourmet Points. (If you don’t get any Gourmet Points, you won’t be able to find the address in step 6).
• Open Cheat Engine 5.5.
• Click on the process button, located at the top left corner.
• Choose FireFox.exe if you’re using FireFox, or iexplore.exe if you’re using Internet Explorer.
• Tick the HEX button, change 4 bytes to 8 bytes then tick ASROM (Also Scan Read Only Memory).
• Copy this HEX code: FFFFFFB8D02A0FF2 and press First Scan.
• You’ll get one address (If you get more than one, then just pick the LAST one!).
• Right click this address and choose Disassemble this memory region.
• You’ll go to another screen, and under the market code you’ll see this: mov eax, ffffffff.
• Double click this code and you’ll see: mov eax ffffffff once again.
• Delete “ffffffff” and change it to (for example): 00004e20
• The code will look like: mov eax, 00004e20
• Press OK and close the second Cheat Engine 5.5 window.
• Minimize the main Cheat Engine window and wait for a customer to eat something.
• As you can see, you earned 20000 COINS (4e20 coins in HEXADECIMAL).

Question: Why do you use 00004e20? How many points will that give me?

mov eax, 00004e20 is a HEX code. If you change 4e20 into a decimal code you’ll get 20000. (You can calculate this with the Windows Calculator). It is recommended that you don’t go higher than 20,000 (or 4e20 HEX).

Cheat Engine can be used with Restaurant City to modify several things, such as Gourmet Points, Rubbish, and so on.

Layout 1

The most common and basic layout in Restaurant City is the island layout. Although this layout is well known by most of the players in Restaurant City, it is a real good one, and it works out very well for players. Island layout is a design plan which involves self contained grouping of tables and stoves primarily. In such a setup, waiters should not move a lot. Moreover, the characters in your game rotate in the right amount of space. This layout should have the chefs and waiters almost next to the tables that they are supposed to serve.

Layout 2

Yet another very popular layout is something like a formation of players on the soccer pitch. A lot of restaurant owners seem to have liked this design plan. It is a 3 chef – 4 waiter layout. This is the very basic formula for this plan, and you can play with it as you want. One option, which is very convenient, is to set the chairs and tables for customers around chefs. It could be something like 3 tables for a single chef and a waiter, or it could be 4 tables per chef. Or even better, you can have the working areas of the chefs in front of the tables.

Layout 3

The third layout focuses primarily on corners. Let me explain this, consider the fact that your waiter can serve and move in all directions. So, using corners in your layouts will give your waiters a wide range of reach. Similarly, counting how many steps will the waiters have to take each time to serve a customer is the most important factor while designing layouts.

Layout 4

Okay, I got to admit that this one looks a little bit messy from your waiters’ point of view. This design plan involves creating a maze-style layout. This layout is really great when the waiters are experiencing a problem clearing the tables, before the new customers come in. Although, the customers will take much longer time to arrive at their tables, thus giving your waiters enough time to clear out the dishes.
